Okay, here's the latest. I replaced the db manager with the one you placed at the link, and here's the latest message when I try to upgrade the db:

OK, we are making progress

As I can see from the error message, there's a problem deleting a table of countries. But that's weird because this table is new in 0.8.

Which was the previous version you had installed?
Did you ever use the "Places" feature?
Did you try to update the database more than once? Try to restore your backup once more time and then try to update the database.

The old version of PIMX was 0.7.x - I'm not sure about what "x" it was. I never used the places feature, and I did try to update the db several times. I restored the backup once again and tried to upgrade. Same problem with the same 1217 error code.

I think I know what could be happening.
Do you have, by any chance, two or more Financial Movements with very same date/time?

EDIT: forget about it... I don't think the error has anything to do with it. I'll keep thinking.

If you really need to use PIM Xtreme NOW, I can offer you to update your database myself and see what happens.
In that case, of course, you'll have to send me your database backup. Then I'll send you the updated backup so you can restore it as a 0.8 backup.

This is entirely up to you. If you don't want to, I'm OK .
But, if you do want to, you can send me your backup file to admin at dgtalize.com

In the meantime, I'll try to figure this out.
